Latest truck accident data shows increase in number of deaths

This is a rise from 4,074 trucks present in 3,622 fatal accidents the year before.

That was a rise from 116,000 injuries in 83,000 accidents in 2015. 475,000 accidents were reported to the police in 2016 with fewer than 1 percent resulting in a fatality; 22 percent had injuries. 23 percent of accidents with an injury and 37 percent with a fatality happened between 6 PM and 6 AM.
