Missouri head-on car accidents can be fatal

A head-on collision is one of the most dangerous types of car accidents because it can cause debilitating injuries or death. Feelings of loss and grief strike the family members of individuals who are killed in car accidents in Missouri. Particularly if their loved ones died through no fault of their own, the situation can be especially distressful. Although filing a wrongful death suit does not ease the pain and suffering caused by car accidents, prevailing in such a claim can offer financial relief and a sense of closure.

Two people recently died in a head-on collision in Missouri. The incident occurred when a sport utility vehicle was traveling on Missouri 39. It then went over the middle line.

The sport utility vehicle crashed into a van carrying two individuals — a 65-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man. Both died at the scene. Authorities said that the driver of the sport utility vehicle was tested for alcohol.

The family members of the two people whose van was allegedly struck in the head-on collision can pursue monetary damages in wrongful death claims, which can cover expenses such as medical costs and end-of-life expenses. If authorities can prove that the driver who allegedly caused the head-on collision acted negligently or recklessly when crossing the center line, this can be used as evidence to establish liability in a Missouri wrongful death lawsuit. Claims for monetary damages stemming from car accidents will be decided if a civil court finds the driver liable for the fatality.
